Blue Ridge Food Ventures, LLC is for entrepreneurs, farmers, food manufacturers, restaurateurs, herb growers, caterers, bakers and chefs—anyone who has an idea for a food product or service that needs a place to produce and package foods for human consumption. Get Started Now! Visit our Frequently Asked Questions section on starting a food busines.

Tours of the facility are given by appointment only. After you have studied the website and would like to request a site visit, please contact us by email, preferably a week in advance, to set up a meeting.

What Products can be made at BRFV?
 

These are just a few of the products that can be made at BRFV:
Baked goods such as breads, cookies, biscotti, pies
Catered fresh foods
Specialty and ethnic foods
Herbal tinctures and extracts
Tea and spice mixtures
Dried products such as apples, tomatoes, herbs, and shiitake mushrooms
Pasta, granola, dry mixes
Wedding cakes
Prepared meals for home delivery
Frozen fruits and vegetables
Specialty jams, jellies and fruit butters
Pickles and relishes
Hot sauces and salsas
Chocolates and candies

How Much Will It Cost? 

Clients only pay for the time they use the space. The basic hourly rental fee for kitchen space is $24/hour. There are also monthly charges for space used in coolers or dry storage. The facility can be used on a daily basis, part-time, or seasonally, with access 24 hours a day/ seven days a week.

Directions

Driving directions from I-40 west bound or east bound: Take Exit 44. At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, turn right (south on 19/23). Go to the fourth traffic light and turn left on Sand Hill Road. Go to the second entrance on the left and turn into the campus. The Haynes Conference Center will be on your right and Blue Ridge Food Ventures in the Incubator Building on your left.
