WNC showcased at forum

RALEIGH — The economic prospects of Western North Carolina will be showcased at the 2008 Economic Forecast Forum to be held Wednesday in Research Triangle Park. This sixth annual forum is hosted by the N.C. Bankers Association and the N.C. Chamber.
Western Carolina University Chancellor John Bardo will lead a panel discussion of the mountains’ economic development initiatives. Dale Carroll, CEO of the AdvantageWest Economic Development Group, will provide an update on the status of the mountain region’s Five-Year Vision Plan.
Bardo and Carroll will be joined by other presenters including Ron Johnson, dean of WCU’s College of Business, and Tilt Thompkins, senior policy fellow at The Institute for the Economy and the Future at WCU. For more information, visit www.ncbankers.org or www.ncchamber.net
