Oct. 15 Forum Explores ARRA Business Opportunities

Want to know how your business can take advantage of opportunities resulting from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act economic stimulus program? Learn more about ARRA and ways to participate in government contracting at a free Oct. 15 forum, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the A-B Tech Enka campus.
AdvantageWest is among the regional business support agencies partnering with the City of Asheville for this event, which includes presentations and discussions on:
· An overview of ARRA
· Accessing contracting opportunities
· Contracting with local government
· Contracting with the state
· Contracting with the federal government
· Current loan activity and opportunities – A discussion that includes AdvantageWest’s Sr. VP of Entrepreneurial Development, Pam Lewis, as a panelist
In addition to AdvantageWest and the City of Asheville, other participating agencies include: Buncombe County, U.S. Small Business Administration, A-B Tech Center for Business & Technology Incubation, Small Business & Technology Development Center, Asheville SCORE, Mountain BizWorks, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Counselor Office.
