Daily non-stop service from Chicago to Asheville begins Dec. 17
Date Posted: 11/24/2009
United Airlines begins twice-daily non-stop service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) from Asheville Regional (AVL) on Dec. 17. Travelers can book flights now on the 50-seat aircraft at www.united.com and www.flyavl.com. Asheville Regional Airport is also served by AirTran, Continental, Delta, and US Airways.
In addition to linking business and industry from the Midwest to WNC, this announcement is particularly timely for tourism. Recently the Chicago Tribune featured the Carl Sandburg home in Henderson County, describing the visit to Connemara as a place where it is “immediately apparent why Sandburg felt so strongly about living there.” Read the story here.
