Press Release: Gift-giving is easy with artisan foods from Blue Ridge Food Ventures

Treat yourself, co-workers, clients and the ones you love to a beautiful artisan gift box of culinary delights from Blue Ridge Food Ventures.
Staff at the food business incubator have selected a mix of hand-crafted gourmet items from local food entrepreneurs and boxed them for gift-giving, such as:
• Bamboo Ladies bamboo pickles
• Blessed Botanicals organic herbal teas and culinary blends
• Chef Ricardo’s tomato sauce
• Fire on the Mountain salsa and hot sauce
• Imladris Farms berry jams and apple butter
• Theros olive oil
• UliMana raw, organic chocolates
• Lusty Monk spicy mustard
Pre-packaged gifts are available for $35 for a box of five items; $49 for a box of seven items. Special requests are possible.
Those who prefer to make their own selections and create their own gift boxes can do so on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 29 (excluding Dec. 24), from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., at Blue Ridge Food Ventures.

Orders should be placed by Thursday for pickup or delivery the following Tuesday (delivery is available to most locations for an additional $10). Pickup is at Blue Ridge Food Ventures, 1461 Sand Hill Rd., on the Enka campus of A-B Tech in Candler.
Blue Ridge Food Ventures is a job creation program of AdvantageWest Economic Development Group. Since its start in 2005, BRFV has helped more than 140 food product makers, farmers and caterers in Western North Carolina and beyond start and grow their businesses. Reported sales are approaching $3.5 million, and dozens of full- and part-time jobs have been created through the program. Products made at Blue Ridge Food Ventures can be found in stores from California to Florida.
